Anti-Reflective (AR)
An anti-reflective coating (AR coating) enhances transmittance. AR coatings improve the efficiency of optical instruments, enhance contrast in imaging devices, and reduces scattered light that can interfere with the optical performance of telescopes, cameras, and binoculars, and decreases glare on eyeglasses.
Highly-Reflective (HR)
Highly reflective coatings, sometimes referred to as HR or mirror coatings, can be designed to reflect a broad range of wavelengths or selected wavelengths.
Diamond-like-carbon (DLC)
Diamond-like-carbon coatings are used across many industries in magnetic storage disks, car and engine parts, biomedical implants, and cutting and forming tools. They are a preferred choice in defense and security applications where environmental factors necessitate an anti-reflective coating with high durability and ability to withstand harsh conditions.
Dielectric
Coatings designed and manufactured using dielectric materials can be tailored to balance specific transmission, reflection, and beam splitting requirements in addition to durability requirements.
Large Area
We can coat single optics up to 3 meters in diameter with high uniformity, OR gigantic batches of components. DUV to FarIR, millimeter to meter-class optics, NO ONE else provides such a broad capability and capacity.
Metallic
Metallic mirror coating allows you to choose the optimum spectral range of reflectivity and durability for both large and small components. Metallic mirror coating materials include aluminum, silver, rhodium, and gold. Protected and enhanced mirror coatings are available as well.
Oleophobic & Hydrophobic
Oleophobic & hydrophobic coating is a type of Broadband Anti Reflective (BBAR) coating that resists water, oil, smudges and fingerprints. It is ideal for windows and lenses which are exposed to high-touch or harsh environments. We can coat glass or plastic substrates up to 36″ diameter or 12″ x 30″ rectangular plates.

Solderable Coatings
Omega Optical is capable to provide patterned metallic coatings for vacuum applications where a window or filter needs to be soldered in place.
