
New Branding, Same Values
Steel. Japanese-style tenon and mortise wood joints. Voltron. Captain Planet. The common thread between these examples is that the integrated whole is stronger than the constituent pieces. And that is certainly the case with the new Omega Optical, comprised of EMF, Omega Filters, Optometrics, and Spectral Systems.
The new website you are reading this upon is the external announcement of our integration, however we have worked internally as an integrated unit for much longer.
This is really about much more than a new website; this is the new Omega Optical.
Internally, we have been referring to this project as ‘OneOmega’. OneOmega is about fully putting our customer obsession on display by completely integrating our amazing functional areas to overserve our customers in most ways we can imagine.
The new Omega Optical is better positioned to provide increased value to customers, employees, and shareholders through:
- Consolidated sales and service channels to enhance communication and problem understanding
- Expanded engineering solutions to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery
- Reduced lead times for order fulfillment while maintaining above benchmark quality standards.
The proof is with our teams. We have one Customer Success Team so customers have a single contact for their products. Our engineering team is unified, sharing ideas with each other and customers to accelerate product development (2 new product ideas generated from a recent engineering meeting!). We are operationally unified, increasing fulfillment speed and quality while eliminating single points of failure.
A significant step of our OneOmega journey is to retire the brand names of Evaporated Metal Films (EMF), Optometrics, and Spectral Systems. This is no easy decision, as each has strong heritage and individual accomplishments. Our customers informed this decision through voice of customer (VOC) feedback that the Omega Optical name was the most trusted to deliver quality, innovation, and value.
Amidst all of this change, one thing which is staying the same: commitment to our values.
